Your "User name" is Invalid

Yahoo, Orkut, Facebook, eBay, MSN, YouTube - these are the popular sites but there are hundreds of sites on the web world. Now my question is -
Do you remember the User name and passwords for all of those sites?
Do you remember when was it you registered on the particular site?
Your answer must be "No".

If you are a frequent user of a particular site then you required to register first and in some cases you need to register by selecting your User name to get into the site. For that you need to choose a User name first. And hear comes a problem - most of the User names you try have been taken by someone else. You hardly get the User name you want. And if you are lucky enough to get the User name you want, the site must not be a popular one.

So one problem every one must face is that you harldy get the User name you want.

The other is
You can't remember that with which User name you was registered on a particular site long time ago. So once the system shows the message "Your User name is Invalid" you are sure that you are going to waste your next 15-20 minutes to get back the real User name to get into the site. Most of the users give up and try other sites or shut down the computer in some cases.

What is the solution to get rid of it?

Make a unique User name for all sites. So if you want to get into some site after a long time period then you can recall your unique User name sponteniuosly.

The other benefit of having a unique User name is that you can build up your brand in the web world using your User name. For instance you have an online business on eBay and you are marketing on a social sites (Facebook, Orkut), common User name on all the sites will be like a brand name for your customers and its really appealing thing.

So how to know which User names are available and which are already taken on different sites. There is a site called
www.usernamecheck.com

on which you can try your favourite User name to check weather the User name is available on the particular site or not. There are hundreads of sites to check on. So once you decide the particular User name for all the sites, you can go to the site on which your choosed User name is available just to make sure some one else don't register with the same User name in the near future.

And yes, you don't have to register with the User name to use this service. Just type a User name and click to see the availability of your choosed User name on many popular sites at one go.
