Altime great Bollywood comedy movies you must watch

Andaz Apna Apna
Andaz Apna Apna was released in 1994. Even though it performed moderately at the box office upon its film release, it has since gained a strong cult following over the years. This film was nominated for Filmfare Awards 1995 in four categories:Best film, Best Director - Rajkumar Santoshi, Best Actor - Aamir Khan and Best Comedian - Shakti Kapoor (for the role of 'Crime Master Gogo'). Who can forget Amar prem of Amar(Aamir) and Prem(Salman), Paresh Raval's Teja role, and two beautiful charming girls in their early career Ravina Tondon and Karishma Kapoor. This is a comedy of errors. If you haven't watched this movie I suggest you to buy a DVD today only. And I know that whoever have ever wathced this movie are surely repeating this movie again and again in their leasure time.
Chupke Chupke
Rib tickling every time! That is one sentence to describe Chupke Chupke, by a great director Hrishikesh Mukherjee popularly known as Hrishi-da. He also directed movies like anand, satyakam, golmaal, guddi, abhiman, bawarchi, namak haraam etc. This movie was released in the same year 1975 when altime block buster movie Sholay was released. (Two block busters in the same year! whoop, we still love these movies) Dharmendra as Parimil Tripathi a.k.a. Pyaremohan Illahbadi is simply immaculate. The scenes after interval where Amitabh bachchan attempts to teach Jaya Botany or his scenes with Asrani are downright hilarious. A movie has a simple yet magical story, a cast with hilarious characters, witty dialogues by Gulzar, a lovable soundtrack by S.D Burman and extreamly funny situations. This movie demands repeate viewing.
Hera Pheri
From the first scene itself you will start laughing and keep until the end. Oh! Paresh Raval as Babu Bhaiya is hilarious in the movie. Few scenes in the movie are unforgettable - the scene where Babu Bhaiya take Shyam (Sunil shetty) to show the house, the scene where tabbu came to their house while akki, sunil and paresh raval were fighting. Audience would start roll over the floor by over dose of comedy when the phone rings and someone ask "Daivi prasad hai kya?"... Ompuri also have done his job so fantastic that we can never think that he is a serious actor of Indian cinema. Public still reminds all those one liners from Babu Bhaiya and can utter those dilougues in one breath today as well. That's an impact of a comedy in this movie after almost 9 years. The plot of the movie is so solid that serious villain like Gulshan Grover looks funny. If you don't laugh watching this movie, better to take an appointment of a Doctor.
Golmaal
Another great creation of Hrishi-da. I think this is the best movie of Hrishi-da out of all movies. If you have seen this movie then you must know that most of the comedy movies made today(for exapmple David Dhavan's) have been copying Hrishi-da's concept - simple and situational comedy. Unlike comedy movies now a days it never seems like a forced comedy. The situations in the movie and performance-timings of amol palekar and Utpal Dutt automatically brings simle on your face. Released in an era of action and formula fare, this film was like a breath of fresh air in an otherwise decadent environment. Special mention should be made of the song "Ane wala pal...". Radios repeate it again and again after 40 years which shows the love for this song of Indian people. Hats off to R D Burman and Kishore Da. The other song is the title track which was played again in the movie which is also in this list -hera pheri. And finally the main factor of the movie from where movie begins and ends. The factor is muche- Utpal dutt says "Much nahi to kuch nahi". I have to say "Golmaal nahi dekha to Kuch nahi dekha".

Thanks to these movies which helps people of India keep laughing.
